I’m always looking out for full sheets of Nigerian stamps and luckily most of them don’t go for large sums. Although I did see a beautiful sheet of 10/- Niger Coast violet stamps going for £2500, so I passed on that one.
These three sheets are from the definitive series which came out initially in 1973-4, of which I now have five. The same designs were issued again in the 1975-1982 period with a “NIGERIA” watermark.

This is the 10 Kobo stamp which has the “NIGERIA” watermark so is SG344, which was issued on the 7th April 1976.

These two sheets show the great colour difference which can occur in Nigerian stamp issues. The above sheet has a 6mm imprint on the left side of each stamp and so is SG300, the lithographed version. This was issued on or after August 1973.

This sheet has the “NIGERIA” watermark which makes it SG348 with an issue date of September 1979.
